Please watch this website for updates

The CDC and the Pedi-Care doctors recommend that all children 6 mos through 18 yrs get vaccinated.

PED-CARE IS AWARE OF THE RECENT RECALL OF INJECTABLE  H1N1 VACCINES. THIS RECALL  DOES NOT IMPACT YOUR CHILD.  NONE OF THESE  RECALLED LOT NUMBERS WERE  EVER  SHIPPED TO PEDI-CARE.

AS OF DECEMBER 22, 2009 THE CDC REPORTS A VOLUNTARY NON-SAFETY-RELATED RECALL OF SPECIFIC LOTS OF NASAL SPRAY VACCINE FOR 2009 H1N1 INFLUENZA.   ON DECEMBER 18 AND 21, THE MANUFACTUER  NOTIFIED THE CDC AND FDA  THAT THE POTENCY IN 13 BATCHES (LOTS) OF NASAL SPRAY VACCINE HAD DECREASED BELOW THE PRE-SPECIFIED LIMIT OR WERE AT RISK OF FALLING BELOW THAT LIMIT WITHIN THE UPCOMING WEEK. THE VACCINE WAS WITHIN THE SPECIFIED RANGE AT THE TIME THE VACCINE WAS DISTRIBUTED.

ONLY 2 OF  THE 13  LOTS WERE ADMINISTERED AT PEDI-CARE.  ALL OF OUR VACCINE FROM THESE LOT NUMBERS  HAVE ALREADY BEEN ADMINISTERED WHILE FULLY POTENT AND WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS.

THERE IS NO NEED TO RE-ADMINISTER A DOSE TO THOSE WHO RECEIVED THE VACCINE FROM THESE LOTS.  THE VACCINE IN THESE LOTS IS STILL EXPECTED TO BE EFFECTIVE IN STIMULATING A PROTECTIVE RESPONSE.

PLEASE REFER TO THE CDC WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

The Doctors and Staff appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We have no control over the distribution and shipping of the seasonal or H1N1 vaccines. We will continue to update our website to keep you informed.
