New Patients

New Patients

Welcome to the Pedi-Care family! Our goal is to help your family feel comfortable right from the start. You are invited to call for a free consultation visit to meet with one of our doctors, have your personal questions answered, and to tour our office.

Expecting

When you choose the Pedi-Care doctors to be your newborn’s pediatricians, you are joining a family. Our physicians, nurses, and support staff work to provide the best care and pediatric experience possible. Typically, we see term newborns at one week of age and pre-term newborns, or newborns with follow-up needs (e.g. jaundice), a day or two after they are discharged from the hospital. You can arrange your well-baby appointments with the same doctor for every visit, or you can choose to rotate and meet with any number of our doctors.

If you deliver at Bridgeport Hospital and have identified one of our doctors as your pediatrician, the hospital will notify us and we will see you and your baby there. All of our doctors have experience with multiples and infants born prematurely, and can work with your neonatologist if needed. If you deliver at another hospital, the doctors on staff will examine your baby. In those instances, please call us from the hospital or as soon as you arrive home to schedule your first office visit. If you give birth at a hospital other than Bridgeport, please bring the newborn health record you will receive at the hospital to your first office visit.

New to the Practice

Joining our practice is as simple as calling to register. During this phone call we take the names and birthdates of your children, your contact information, and confirm that we accept your insurance. As soon as you are registered and have forwarded your family’s medical records, we can see your child for sick visits and checkups as well as answer medical questions. During your first office visit we will ask that you fill out our patient information form. You may download this form and complete it at home prior to your visit to save time.
